YROC (Youth Remembering Our Creator)
All youth between years 9 to 13 are welcome.
Life has many twists and turns, so YROC is a space where teenagers can meet together develop friendships, learn about Jesus and what he has done for them and discuss how Jesus can guide us as we navigate life. We also encourage giving youth opportunities to use their talents and we are always wanting everyone to value and enjoy our time together.
We meet weekly on Wednesdays, 7:15pm-9:15pm during school term and we do weekend activities on a regular basis this has included activities like Aqualand & BBQ, Farm Trips, Gel Blasters, Youth Sunday, Easter Camp, Youth Night with Word of Life (inflatables, Quiz, Challenges), First Training, YROC Camp, Caring for Nature activity and Table Tennis competition.

Tony is married to Angela and they have 3 adult sons. Tony has been the Youth Director at Rutland Street Church for the past 8 years, Angela came on staff 2 years ago and between them they look after YROC, Rally (Children’s Ministry) and our Family Insight ministries. For the majority of their lives they have served in children and youth ministry work. They also work for the NZ Rally Trust which is a children’s ministry with the aim of “Preparing Kids for Life” NZ Rally started in 1944 in Auckland and has spread across New Zealand.
