Christ Church in Taitā, Lower Hutt

Christ Church in Taitā, established in 1854, is the oldest surviving church in the Wellington region and one of the few in New Zealand still in its original state. It is believed to be the oldest intact building in Wellington. Built by early settler families, the church held its first service on 1 January 1854.
Christ Church is registered as a Category 1 historic place by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust and somethign any architect would appreciate. The church and its graveyard are popular with both descendants of those interred there and visitors from across New Zealand and abroad.

St. Paul’s Cathedral
