King Solomon
The Wisest King
Solomon, the son of King David, is famous in the Bible for being the wisest king who ever lived. When he becomes king, God appears to him in a dream and offers to give him anything he asks for. Instead of wealth, long life, or victory over his enemies, Solomon asks for wisdom, so he can rule the people well. His story is found mainly in 1 Kings 3–10.
