Learn the best things about Christian values translated into a modern day world from people that want to share their wisdom and good values. Our free youth events listed are mostly Christian-backed by everyday New Zealanders. The events are fun, and come from a place of giving back to the community.
Our 2024 mission is to build a community of things to do in New Zealand for youths, including building friendships and values so strong that you’ll always have people you can count on. Plus, you’ll get access to youth events that you can’t get enough of, that are good fun and you’ll remember for life.

Explore Christchurch Event FAQs
As an event host, may I suggest our events that are in North Canterbury, not just Christchurch events?
Yes, if events are within 1 hours of Christchurch, we’re happy for you to list them on our Christchurch events page.
Who are the organisers of the events?
Event hosts are typically people that want to share their wisdom and help young people have extraordinary lives by teaching them skills and how to live a happy life. Each event is run independently of Walk’n on water, but we do only list events with Christian values and good reputations.
Come along, it’s great fun, and comes from a place of giving back to the Christchurch community.
Do some of the events get into the outdoors outside of Christchurch?
Yes, often there are hosted youth events and day trips outside of Christchurch. For example, at Orton Bradley Park in Banks Peninsula. Climbing Rapaki admiring the scenery across to Lyttelton harbour, or visiting Hanmer for an alpine retreat. Within Christchurch, groups can be taken for an educational tour spotting penguins at the International Antarctic Centre, exploring the city centre by tram, including the Christchurch Botanic Gardens and Avon River and, of course, the Canterbury Museum. Or for adventure seekers, the Christchurch Gondola and mountain bike trails under appropriate supervision.
But please note, events are hosted by independent operators.
