Water Into Wine

At a wedding in Cana, Jesus performed His first recorded miracle: turning ordinary water into wine after the host ran out. It’s a quiet, domestic miracle — not a public spectacle — and it’s found in John 2:1–11.

What did Jesus turn water into at the wedding in Cana?
👉 Wine.

Six stone jars

Jesus told the servants to fill six large stone jars — used for ceremonial washing — with water, then draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet. When he tasted it, he was amazed: custom was to serve the best wine first, but this new wine was better than anything served all night. John notes this was the first of Jesus’s signs, and that it revealed His glory and led His disciples to believe in Him.
