The Parable of the Lost Sheep
One of the most loved and memorable stories Jesus ever told is the Parable of the Lost Sheep. A shepherd has 100 sheep — but one wanders off and gets lost. Instead of being satisfied with the 99 that are safe, the shepherd leaves them behind and goes searching for the one that is missing. You can read the story in Luke 15:1–7 (and also Matthew 18:12–14).

No one is forgotten
When the shepherd finally finds the lost sheep, he doesn’t scold it or give up on it — he joyfully carries it home and celebrates.
