FAQ’s About Youth Events & Our Favourite Mission
I thought Church was boring?
Yeah, because it’s old-school it can feel a little boring, but this mission is about making it fun. Imagine a skate park, free pizza, mates, and a 15-minute lesson from an advanced skater. That would definitely top the list of fun things to do. Just think of it as good people having good times in a safe environment. Click here, if you’d like to browse our church finder.
Do I have to give up my Sundays?
Not at all. Walk’n On Water is designed so you guys can have fun things to do in your spare time. It could be a Wednesday arvo or Friday evening. Just check the event page for the specifics, and you’ll see that there are different things to do at different times.
If I join, do I have to turn up every week?
There is absolutely no-pressure. If you enjoy coming along, sweet as, but If not, no worries at all. It’s on your terms. But if you do book a spot at an event, then don’t be uncool and not attend.
Can I volunteer to help?
100%, but we have a safety-first policy, meaning that we’ll need to run a police check and a few other things to ensure any of our attendees are in responsible hands.
I live in East Auckland, but want to go to an event in Northshore. Are there any transport options?
WoW is New Zealand’s best platform of things to do in Auckland, but we don’t actually run the events. It’s best to contact the organisers of the youth events directly to ask. You can do this by clicking on the event, and then linking through to their social media page or website.
What age is appropriate for the youth events listed on WoW?
Usually, we try and cater for youths aged 8-16, but each event is different. Please click on the event of your choice and you’ll see a short description showing the appropriate age groups.
How can I add an event of my own?
It’s easy. Please start by filling in this registration from. We’ll ask you for details and a number of verification details to ensure safety and legitimacy.
Can we please add cafe catchup’s as events?
Great idea! But unfortunately, WoW doesn’t provide the events, we just list the existing events in your communities. If you know of any great cafe catchups, please do let us know.
